I don't know if many people know this, but I'm the only guy on the Seventeen team right now. So it was obvious that I'd be sent to the Men's Biore Facial Launch that happened this week. This is what I picked up from it (other than a hefty workout from climbing a wall).
We guys today are constantly bombarded with images of what we can't have. Sound familliar? Yeah, you girls worry 'bout Megan Fox, I've got Zack Efron, Chase Crawford, Taylor Lautner and...Justin Bieber to contest with! So yes, even guys want to look good and to help us keep up with all the competiton...

Clean & Clear Sends Best Friends on a Holiday

The contest, called "Ready. Jet Set. Jom!" got teens to submit videos of themselves on YouTube on their "dream holiday" with their best friends. Their goal? To take on the world together- exactly what Clean & Clear did for them.
Brand manager Adele Chee says,"As the Teen Care Expert, Clean & Clear understands the things that hold teens back, the enemies of their self-esteem. Pimples. Blackheads. Oily skin. Though only one pair of best friends received 4 Flight Tickets and an all-expense paid trip to Bali, 2 Sony Walkman MP4 Players and a Canon Video Camera, the rest of the winners got rewarded with great prizes as well! The prizes include HP Mini Netbooks, Lumix Digital Cameras and Sony Ericsson Mobile Phones.
The contest ran from 15 Dec 2009 to 1 March 2010, and the winners were selected based on 50% votes and 50% organiser's choice.

Believe it or not, some men are just as vain as girls! Did you notice that there is quite a number of beauty products specifically for men in the market lately, compared to a decade ago? I don’t see the problem with men wanting to look good. I mean, don’t you like it when your dad, brother or even your man are well-groomed? At least you won’t have to be embarrassed to go out with them in public!

Yes totally! I'm not ashamed to admit that I love blasting rock songs on the stereo while rocking to it alone in my room! Try it because it's such a stress reliever.

Extra Credit!
The Clinique Accreditation Programme has been around for over 30 years. It provides consultants a better opportunity in the beauty industry as it offers consultants to gain 3 different levels of accredation: consultanting, clinical consultanting and skin diagnostic consultanting. All hopeful consultants must sit through tough exams to earn these honours.
Clinique Malaysia has just graduated 5 of their consultants with the proper equipment and qualification to guide dermatology patients with the right treatments. This makes Malaysia one of the few countries in Asia to have clinical consultants!
Why are we sharing all of this with you?

To judge or not to judge?
So maybe if it's not ok to judge a BOOK by its cover, when it comes to makeup we CAN! Or at least that's the rule I'd like to live by. My personal favourite brand that makes pretty pretty makeup is BENEFIT! They never dissapoint and I'm not just talking about its cute presentation. It's good inside and outside!!
